We often look for people who would like to participate in projects and studies focused on improving community services and resource availability. Here is where you will find project descriptions and opportunities to get involved!
The Valley Food Co-Op PAR Project
The Valley Co-Op is right here in Washington County and offers local and natural foods from farms and suppliers in our area.
We want to help the community become healthier, happier and stronger by:
Making healthy, local food available.
Giving people the power to support local farmers and food suppliers.
Helping to keep the money we spend on food in our own community.
We need to hear from people in the community so we can learn:
Your thoughts on where you buy food.
What really matters to you about food.
What you think is needed for this community to be healthier.
This way we can plan and develop the Valley Co-Op according to what this community needs based on what you, members of the community teach us about what matters.
We will be interviewing individual people. We will also have group meetings (focus groups).
This gives members of the community a chance to share:
What you know and what you do about food and health.
What you need when it comes to good, nutritious food and being healthy.
